Tilburg Moves
"Tilburg Moves" is a large-scale event in the Netherlands including many IDSF tournaments. Of course, due to the geographical proximity many German couples took the chance to participate.
Day 1:
Georg Bröker/Susanne Schantora as well as Robert and Silvia
Soencksen dominated the Senior II Latin tournament, finishing first
and second (see picture).
Georg Bröker/Susanne Schantora also participated in the
Senior I section, winning for the second time in one day. Markus
and Stephanie Grebe took the fourth place.
The Senior III Standard tournament was the biggest of the day
(56 couples). Franz-Josef and Lioba Kirchhoff won the bronze medal,
Hans-Arnold and Heidi Büscher reached the fifth place. Half of the
semi final consisted of German couples. Apart from the two
finalists, these were:
Wolfgang Walter/Ilse von Beyer (8.), Wilfried and Anette
Seidel (9.), Jörg and Beate Monse (10.) as well as Hans-Wolfgang
and Angelika Scheuer (12.).
Day 2:
Thorsten Strauß/Sabine Jacob managed to reach the second
place in the Senior I Standard tournament. Two other German couples
danced in the final as well: Jürgen Beck/Claudia Kleineheismann
(4.) and Klaus Padberg/Dunja Jansen (5.).
Two DTV-couples narrowly missed the final, sharing the
seventh place as runners-up: Bernd and Sandra Ketturkat as well as
Sönke and Solveig Schakat.
At the Senior II Standard tournament, Heinz-Josef and Aurelia
Bickers left the dance floor as clear winners. 65 couples
participated in total. Michael Feld/Heide Glaser were the second
German couple to reach the final and finished sixth.
Hans-Arnold and Heidi Büscher (10.) as well as Hansjörg and
Birgit Hopp (11.) reached the semi final.
At the Rising Stars Open Latin, Vadim Lehmann/Mariya Vakhnina
reached the semi final and finished eleventh as best German couple.
The World Champions Benedetto Ferruggia/Claudia Köhler
dominated the field as usual and won the International Open
tournament in superior style. Valentin Lusin/Renata Busheeva
reached the final as well and finished sixth.
Day 3:
On the third and last day of "Tilburg Moves", two German
couples reached the semi final of the IDSF International Open Latin
tournament: Simon Völbel/Regina Murtasina finished eighth, Valentin
Lusin/Renata Busheeva took the ninth place (out of 78 couples).
Pavel Zvychaynyy/Sarah-Sophie Ritz reached the split
sixteenth place.
