European Champion FG Aachen-Düsseldorf
A complete surprise in the Arena Düren: FG Aachen-Düsseldorf becomes European champion in Latin formation. With a continuously enhanced performance and a fulminant last round the host's team was able to win the title against the expectably strong competitive Grün-Gold-Club Bremen.
A Four in the judging became fatal to the current World Champions.
The Russian Team Vera also brought competition from their own country. The B-Team that started under the name "Vera Double" could' ve almost outrun its A-Team. Beside Russian and Germany only one other nation of overall seven got into the final: Austria also got both of its teams into the last round. HSV Zwölfaxing came fith and Schwarz-Gold Wien came sixth. A total of 13 teams had contested at the European Championship.
