German Championships Boogie Woogie and Rock'n'Roll
Eight classes took part in the extensive program of the German
Championships Boogie Woogie and Rock'n'Roll at the Saturn Arena
Ingolstadt. The Rock'n'Roll A Class saw Verena Rau/Andreas Heidler
(RRC Jahn Landsberg, foto: private) win the title, after the
titleholders Meike Lameli/André Di Giovanni had to quit their
program when Meike fell (fortunately with no further injury) during
the first acrobatic element (Bettarini with double salto),
resulting in rank 6 for the couple. Nicole and André Buck (RRC
Delmenhorst TV Deichhorst) ended their dancesport career with the
German Championship title in the B Class. The rock'n'roll juniors
saw Nina Sailer/Tobias Planer (RRC Jahn Landsberg) win the day.
The Boogie Woogie then was a close one, with Doris
Preuhs/Marcel Helms (TZ Boogie Magic's Hohenbrunn) on top of the
podium in the Main Class, and Heidi Meyer/Thomas Klein (BWC
"Boogie-Babies Bruck/Bodenwöhr) in the Oldie Class.
