WDSF Open Forum in Berlin
The Open Forum traditionally takes place the day before the
General Meeting of the WDSF. The delegates of member organizations
have the opportunity to inform themselves about various topics of
the agenda and to exchange views.
First on the agenda are the proposed changes to the statutes:
the Athletes '/ Adjudicators' Code of Conduct, the Standards of
Ethics and the Code of the WDSF Disciplinary Council.
WDSF-President Carlos Freitag promotes the World Games 2013
(Cali, Colombia) and 2017 (Wroclaw, Poland) and the Artistic World
Games 2013 (Croatia) with video presentations. He also informed
about the planning status of the World DanceSport Games in
September 2013 in Kaohsiung (Taiwan).
WDSF Board Member Michael Eichert explained in detail the
planned WDSF "registration system" and the introduction of ID cards
for athletes. Furthermore and together with Sports Director Marco
Sietas , he presents the completely revised version of the
competition rules of the World Federation. Fabio Bosco presents the
revised WDSF Technique Books, which will probably be available from
early 2013.
The presentation of the enhancement of the WDSF website and
the planned projects on social media rounded out the informative
afternoon.
