Braunschweig defends title in Ludwigsburg
Winning the German Championships had been child's play compared
to defending the title of World Champion of Standard formations.
The Braunschweiger TSC had not only to deal with 14 teams from
other nations, but above all with an incredibly improved German
competition: Compared to the German Championships 2 weeks earlier,
the 1. TC Ludwigsburg appeared completely transformed and thrilled
4,300 spectators in the sold-out MHP Arena. But the BTSC was not
intimidated and defended its title with five 1's, resulting in the
ninth title for the club. Ludwigsburg was placed second, which is a
great success because this means that the Russian team Vera Tyumen
was moved to the third place. The result of the World Championships
was a clear victory of dancing over show.
Final result:
1. Braunschweiger TSC, Germany 1 1 1 1 3 1 3
